Nicole has since studied functional neurology with the US-based Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies and gained the prestigious Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (DACNB) qualification.
Alongside clinical practice she lectures for Neuroseminars, teaching functional neurology to chiropractors and other health care professionals in various UK and European locations. Nicole has also presented at several conferences and conventions, including the 2014 & 2016 European Chiropractors Union (ECU) Conventions, the 2019 World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) Congress, and at the annual or biannual conferences/ meetings of the Swiss, German, Norwegian, Belgian, Finnish, Swedish, Irish and Scottish national associations.
Nicole’s patients range from those with simple muscle and joint problems to those seeking help for more severe conditions, such as migraine headaches, acute whiplash, certain types of dizziness/vertigo (i.e. BPPV and dizziness related to neck problems), and musculoskeletal problems that arise due to stroke, nerve damage or other neurological disorder.
Nicole regularly receives referrals from chiropractors all around the country, who seek her opinion and possible rehabilitation of patients with symptoms of a neurological nature. At Newland, we have an array of equipment that we can use to assess eye movement and balance related to dizziness.
Nicole is also qualified in dry needling, a Western technique involving the use of acupuncture needles.
Nicole is currently undertaking a post-graduate Masters in Musculoskeletal Neuroscience.
When Nicole is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and playing tennis.
